2010 Interview with Kidest OM by lily6.com
Why do we often insist on holding others responsible for our own happiness? And how can we change this?
That’s the game. If we all came into this world fully conscious of our immense power, knowing and owning our magical Divinity from the get go, there wouldn’t be very much of the surprise and astonishment over ourselves and this design to fall all over. I don’t know very many know it all’s that have fun in life. If you knew everything there is to know about yourself, I imagine it’d be a very mediocre experience. Why do we wrap presents before we give them away? Why do we play hide and seek? That’s the fun – the surprise, the eagerness to unwrap ourselves out of the limiting beliefs that say other’s have power over our happiness, or situations and circumstances are what control what we can experience moment after moment. The discovery or re-discovery of our magick, the unwrapping of our own limitless being to discover the natural lightness and playfulness of what we are, the way I see it, that’s what we’re here for. We wrap ourselves in limiting stories so we can experience the joy and surprise of our infinite unlimited-ness. Have you ever played a game of peek-a-boo with a child or hide and seek? Or even recall the sensation of holding a colorfully wrapped package eager to find out what’s inside it? It feels to me like that discovery is what this game of life is all about.
On our emotional journey to self-discovery and learning to love ourselves, sometimes it happens that we unintentionally hurt or disrespect our loved ones. How do you deal with situations like that?
Choosing to see everything and everyone around me in and as their true essence is key for me. Seeing through the Eyes of Source is the answer to so much of the contrast we experience in this reality. Does a cloud passing over the sun really touch the sun? What we are is the sun – what the stories and experiences that arise in this world, the relationships and interactions are like the clouds. They never really touch our true Self, the Source Energy Consciousness that we are. What happens when you see all things in your view as That, as the Divine? I See YOU. I see who those in my life really are, clearly. I see their magnificence and Source Energy-ness. Wounded-ness of ourselves and other’s is just yet another story we make up in our minds. What gets wounded and what does the wounding is nothing more than a collection of temporary thought-patterns, passing clouds, so to latch on to that and to anchor that in my consciousness is to perpetuate the very idea of limitedness that self-discovery pulls me out of. The whole idea of saying and doing the right thing is an exercise in conditional living. Living from intuition, living from the heart, living from the guidance of our Inner Being ensures that I step and flow with the unified movement of all life – whether we realize it or not, we are all one life moving in perfect harmony. Get in line with that flow and you will move with everything to the highest good of all. But if you really believe in the play of form, the idea that there is someone to hurt and someone to be hurt, if you’re in that corner of the consciousness game, then there are so many ways for you to release yourself out of that in just a blink of an eye. In a moment of contraction, if I’m not expanded enough to be seeing through Source Eyes, one of my favorite mantra’s is “I release everything that you are and everything that I am back into love and light” – that seems to get my mind to let go instantly.
What do you find most challenging in your experience as a deliberate creator?
I actually don’t believe in challenges or having challenges. Everything is an opportunity to hone my creative skills and power of focus. Nothing is a challenge. Everything is part of the landscape of my evolution into my highest and best expression, and that slight shift in perspective alone has added fuel to my creative rocket. I’m currently mastering the art of deeply letting go, setting an intention, feeling that intention, and then letting it ripple out from every layer of my being completely without ever reverting back into wondering about that initial intention. It’s a practice of trusting the process, non-attachment to outcomes, knowing that everything and everyone that is a part of the divine unfolding is already in motion, and surrendering to that. I’ve noticed this is a sticky area for many deliberate creators – many set the intention and then jump into beating the drum of “where’s my stuff?” I don’t play that game anymore. The creative process is much easier than we allow ourselves to experience - we're the only one's getting in our own way or holding things from ourselves. The proof of this has been that I’ve noticed just how quickly everything comes together in this practice of fully releasing it all to the magnificence of the Universe. Everything is okay the way it unfolds, it's actually more than okay, it's precisely perfect.
What's the most delicious food you ever tasted?
I love this question! I have a slight obsession with a raw vegan restaurant called Café Gratitude. It’s based in San Franscio. I’ve had several dishes there but my favorite one is the Vegan Cream of Broccoli soup called "I Am Thriving". The amazing thing about Café Gratitude is that it’s food for your mind, body, and everything else that you are. It supports everything you are from individual mind and heart, to the collective community that is an extension of your own being. They are an eco-friendly sustainable chain using local foods (and so supporting the local farmers and community) and choosing to exercise sacred commerce. Their entire menu is structured in a way that will instantly uplift you, and as you’re served your food, the server will mirror to you what you have asked for. When the beautiful being brought my food over (my soup called “I Am Thriving”), he looked at me and said “You ARE thriving” – it was just so affirming to my being on many levels. It’s memorable which is probably why every time I think of that dish or any other dish I’ve had there, my whole being responds and stirs in love and joy.
Besides Abraham, which other teachers in your life have contributed most positively to your growth?
You know, everything in life is teaching me and positively contributing to my growth these days. I no longer only receive insights from books and words and seminars, but from everything around me and within me. I am my own teacher now and that includes all of life, the everything-ness of what and who I am. Everything is pulsing with wisdom. Everything around me is pulsing with inspiration and ancient knowledge. My cells, my food, my home, the people in my view – everything is a living teacher. For instance, today I physically noticed how laughter itself is a teacher. I heard a group of people laughing and physically felt the ripples of that laughter, of that energy, move through my own being bringing an insight right along with it. It was such an amazing moment, like the wave of the laughter turned switches on in my own being. When you open up your ideas of what can show up in your reality to teach you, to demonstrate something to you, then all the different ways that the Intelligence of Life is beautifully communicating with you shows itself. This is such a miraculous environment. Words are words and limited to just human interaction (as we know for now anyway), but energy, which is the real language of the entire Universe, it is everywhere permeating everything, and it is constantly speaking to each and every one of us.
Do you want to leave a question for our readers?
I’d love to. I invite your readers to bring their attention down into their heart, become anchored there, and receive this question from that shifted point of focus. The question is:
Can you allow yourself to be loved by life as much as you are in this moment?
Just stay with this question and keep coming back to it. It’s a beautiful way to open up and allow all of what life has wonderfully already orchestrated on your behalf.
