![]() You really don't have to remain in states of tension or in a state of resistance for long periods of time. You have the ability to instantly shift out of whatever resistant stream of thought may be involving your attention by employing these three easy steps. When you are in an open and relaxed state of being, you feel at ease, you feel connected, you feel in flow, and you are in greater harmony with your desired outcomes. You know that energy is moving freely through your being because you predominately feel like you have all the energy you need for whatever you is in front of your moment after moment. The story is different however when you are distressed. Any level of mental or emotional tension is indicating to you that you have diminished the flow of energy in your being. When this happens, you feel fatigue, or overwhelm, or frustration, or discouragement and a variety of other states that indicate dis-empowerment, the reduction or loss of energy and your sense of power. These three easy steps can quickly return you back into a state of effortless ease and effortless flow when you notice a drop in your overall vibe. The three steps are simply to Stop, Pivot, and Drop. Stop empowering the thought stream, the internal chatter you have going on that is only serving to disconnect you from the free flow of energy through your system. This means identifying the story and then releasing it in the moment. Instead of continuing to give the thoughts your attention, instead of continuing to energize the resistant story active in your awareness, instead of validating and making the story real to yourself, instead of putting the energy of the story into expression by talking about it in any way, you choose to stop. You hit the brakes. Pivot your attention to stillness or the space between every thought, or shift your focus to the flow-enhancing practices of gratitude, appreciation, positive anticipation, and positive expectations. Ask yourself: "can I fully and completely release this story? Can I let go of it and rest in the quiet core of my being?" Or ask yourself questions like "where am I experiencing love, success, or kindness in my life already? What are all the things that are already materializing brilliantly for me?" Focus for the moment on the quiet space or on the things already in your world that evoke the more receptive states of being. Drop into your Heart-Center at the center of your chest. Your Heart center is your center of presence, a quiet pervasive stillness that is always within you. The energy stream you access from your Heart center is one that rejuvenates, cleanses, and restores everything about you back into a harmonious and more coherent state. The more time you spend focused in and through your heart-center, the more you reside in Heart-Space awareness, the more you keep yourself in the most optimal and beneficial state possible. Take a deep breath and feel your awareness moving down to the center of your chest if you find your awareness is generally anchored around your throat or head. If your awareness is centered around your gut, then move it up to the center of your chest. Feel that journey to the Heart Center, and then let yourself expand that Heart-Centered awareness all around you. Let yourself dwell in that space. Stop. Pivot. Drop. It's an easy practice you can employ anytime and anywhere, and the more you employ it, the easier and easier it becomes for you to recover from states of distress.
