All that appears to be outside is actually on the inside. All that appears to be form is actually formless. All that appears to have definition is actually the indefinable wholeness of existing and existence. When there is nothing to fragment, all boundaries fall away, and all tension dissolves.
Space and form, light and sound, past and future, all appear to arise within the unified undifferentiated consciousness. If you start with the premise that consciousness alone is, this moves you out of the binary perception the nervous system may be calibrated to and into the awareness of wholeness.
Within the binary system, which is a system of duality, outside and inside, above and below, within and without, all form the thread of understanding that encompasses waking experience. And yet such a processing of information can be dropped in the blink of an eye. It's useful to notice that.
When you change that premise or processing, when you drop the binary processing of the nervous system, which you can, all boundaries dissolve, all separation or an apparent individuated existence ceases to take shape and you are left in the observation and experience of a unified whole no matter where you cast your attention or awareness - and even the "casting" of awareness here is pointing to simply being aware as the unified whole, the expansive field that has no end or beginning. In this awareness, there is no 'here' and 'there', past and future, time and space and so on. All chunking of the perceptual field stops and all is as it is.
This is a useful exercise to take yourself into. It's assumed that the tendency for the nervous system to fragment and chunk information into bits of data, to perceive the body as arms, legs, hands, feet etc., is innate. It is not. The superficial fragmentation of the body as arms, legs, hands, feet etc., does not actually separate the body but imposes a superficial or conceptual overlay in which you experience the body in chunks. Such a processing is learned and reliant on the conceptual boundaries created in labeling things as 'this' and not 'that'. It is superficial differentiation of the undifferentiated and because it is only surface deep, it can easily be seen through.
Why would you want to see through it though? It's simple. In the seeing through of apparent separateness, apparent boundaries, apparent borders, you move yourself out of tension, resistance, suffering.
Resistance, tension, friction all arise only within the perception of 'otherness' - when you move yourself into the experience of wholeness, when you moves yourself into or open yourself to notice the unicity and continuity of all things in all direction, all resistance, tension, and friction dissolve. This is useful in accessing more than the fragmentation of experience can allow.
In the indefinable and undifferentiated Field, live all possibilities. Out of fragmentation, separation, chunking of information, you access the undifferentiated whole, the allness of the all, you abide and rest as That. And in that abidance everything is lived in its true light.
