![]() What eat up your internal resources, your sense of vitality, and disperse or disrupt the flow of your energy are the various points of tension you hold in your focus moment after moment. Mental tension, emotional tension, physiological tension in your muscles and body all contribute to this ineffective flow and regulation of life force through the layers of your multidimensional being. The day to day mind is constantly generating impressions in the form of judgments. "This is that and that is this, and this means that and that means this" the mind constantly says. The relentless labeling of information, the constant defining of your environment into one thing or another, the ceaseless cataloging of the people around you into one thing or another, and the overall meanings you create about yourself, your relationships, and your world all have an impact on the way you move through your day not only psychologically and physiologically but primarily energetically. How much energy you have available to you in any given moment is directly related to the amount of tension you are creating in your awareness. The emotions you generate throughout the day are a response to the meanings your mind is giving to the world around you. When you let go of tension by creating new meanings and so generating better feeling emotions, you are making more fuel available to all parts of your being. You can be in a constant state of releasing all points of tension in your being. Moment after moment, you can let go and keep letting go of those emotions that arise out of the negative meanings you create. To help you along in making more energy available to yourself, here are some questions you can ask at any point in your day to check in: Where am I holding tension right now – what in my life is making me feel tense What am I making this situation mean and is it useful? Is this meaning giving me more energy or is it taking up more energy? Why am I choosing to interrupt or disrupt my flow by creating this meaning that then generates emotions that make less energy flow for me and through me? Why am I focusing in a way that doesn’t create elevation in my being? Why not focus in a way that makes more energy, more power, more coherence available to me and through me? What else can I make this mean so that I have more and more energy available to me to keep moving forward? Is there a meaning I can create here that will give me more energy, more power, more momentum in my world? You must make the most important thing be your sense of internal freedom moment after moment. Internally exclaim to yourself that “nothing is more important than my feeling free right now. There is no thought, sensation, feeling, or observation that is more important than my sense of ease and peace in this moment.” Make that your modus operandi in everything that you do and you’ll find and make more energy available to yourself to move toward whatever outcome you desire. Knotting all of your energy up in tension, in resistance, in rejection, in thought currents of various limitations doesn’t serve you in any way. You cannot tense yourself into happiness. You cannot contract yourself into expansion. You cannot punish yourself into success. You cannot hold your breath and run a marathon successfully. All perceived limitations are self-manufactured. It is the self that you think you are that generates all the meanings that don’t feel good to you, all the meanings that are actually contradictory to what it is your truly desire to experience. Situations and circumstances in and of themselves have no meaning. You push things away or you cling to things, you move into attachment or aversion, you move into acceptance or rejection, because of the meanings and attributes you are imposing on a meaningless world, circumstance, and situation. You are the meaning maker and so the continuation or releasing of any thought and feeling is entirely in your control. The thing to do then? Let the limiting meaning go. Let the meaning that creates tension, discord, and discomfort for you go. Related Posts
