The key to moving yourself into experiential understanding of your power to be, do, and have what you’ve intended is practice. With any practice you are doing, to achieve a change of some kind (e.g. a change in behavior, a change in energy, a change in what you repeatedly experience) consistency and repetition is a must for a period of time. Deliberate creation, conscious creation, the ability to intentionally and co-creatively bring about desired outcomes, is a skill you cultivate like any other, and like any other skill it requires that you practice and refine your process as you learn more about how you do you, how you do your reality, and how you can do both of those more optimally, consciously, intentionally, effectively.
Think about it in terms of what needs to happen in the brain/body for change to occur – this applies to all the variants of change you would ever want to experience from the psychological to the material. For change to occur, the body and the brain have to experience a perceivable sustained shift in their make up – you have to wire new neural networks that become new neural pathways. You have to nullify or atrophy the old neural networks you were making use of. This shift from neurons firing together to neurons becoming frequently used pathways in the brain takes time and repetition. The body will need to experience a sustained shift in energy, a new way of being in the world with a new set of emotions that are now its default. All of this happens when you stick with a practice for a consistent period of time.
Deliberate creation, conscious creation, your ability to bring about the goals and intentions you desire will always require you to ignite a change in your nervous system – in your neurology, in your physiology, in your emotional set-points. While visualizing, meditating, or doing self-inquiry is useful for any duration of time that you do it, if what you're after is experiencing that solid event called a change of circumstance, a change of energy, a change of relationship where you can never go back to the version of yourself you were before (the version of yourself that was manifesting the old relationship, circumstance, or state of some kind), that requires staying with the practice daily until you reach that point of no return to the old self.
Another way to think about it is that daily you are registering an enormous amount of data that may be contradictory to the outcomes you're after. On the one hand you want to achieve X but on the other hand, sensory data is telling you that you are right now achieving Y. The daily practice of focusing on your desired outcome (whether seeing through the nature of the self or quadrupling your business income) is to help you begin to give a higher level of realness to your vision. You can’t do that if you’re only focusing on it every now and again because of all that sensory data that is coming through moment after moment, that is usually and at first negating the reality of your preferred outcome.
Moving into that desired experience means leaving your current reality behind, fading out the apparent solidity of the world you find yourself in now, the self you find yourself being now, and fading in and bringing into focus the desired world you want to find yourself in. In order to do that you have to start giving that desired reality as much of your attention and awareness as you can consistently. You want to be awake to it more so than you are awake to the current landscape of your experience. To do that, at first, you have to practice practice practice everyday for a period of time.
There’s always a moment of change, where in your awareness that desired outcome is just this solid tangible thing. Where you feel close and connected to it, where you’re able to hold it in your awareness and rotate its reality inside yourself being able to look at it from multiple angles. Even though the event hasn’t manifested yet in your sensory world, it has manifested in your psychic world – you speak about the outcome differently at this point, you think and feel about it as though it was already out there in your sensory or ‘outer’ world – your thoughts, your emotions, your narrative, your very energy around it have changed.
Until you reach that point of psychic reality, of energetic reality, practice and keep practicing your ability to plug into the versions of self, relationships, and world you want to encounter in your waking experience. You’ll reach a point of total alignment, total integration, total anchoring, that point of no return where your brain and body just get on the same page. It’s at the point that you become a clear coherent signal that the Field or Universe will reflect and echo back a clear response to, the desired event. Practice is what will let you progress further into your mastery – so commit to it, because it is in committing to your practice of alignment that you commit to your dreams, your desires, your fulfilment, ultimately yourself.
